Praticantes de yoga apostam em nudez no Instagram como forma autoaceitação

Uma mulher misteriosa se tornou inspiração para diversas praticantes de ioga nas redes sociais: ela encabeça um movimento que encoraja mulheres e homens a postar fotos nus, durante a prática da atividade, como forma de celebrar os próprios corpos.

A usuária do Instagram que lidera esse movimento é a Nude Yoga Girl, que ainda não teve a identidade revelada. Ela - que posta fotos da prática do yoga de forma naturista há mais de dois anos - já acumula quase 700 mil seguidores na rede social.

Inspirados pela Nude Yoga Girl, diversos praticantes do yoga começaram a postar fotos semelhantes nas redes sociais, por meio da hashtag NYGyoga.

De acordo com a própria Nude Yoga Girl, em entrevista por e-mail ao site The Cut, a jornada desde o início das postagens das fotos fez com que ela aceitasse mais o próprio corpo, deixando de lado aspectos que antes considerava como “falhas”.

“Meu principal problema no passado era que eu encontrava ‘falhas’ no meu corpo o tempo todo. E isso tornava praticamente impossível que eu me amasse completamente”, afirmou a praticante de yoga.

I like to think that I'm quite a strong woman nowadays. Maybe because I don't want that life is always easy, stable and nice. That kind of life doesn't teach. I have always wanted to experience many different kind of moments. Through them I can get to know myself better and become stronger. ❤ Today I've talked a lot with my friend about how difficulties make us stronger, how we can turn our negative experiencess to positive. Many times it seems that everything is easier for the strongest ones. That they are lucky, life has given them a lot... ❤ In my experience when I've got to know those kind of people better, I've seen how many or how big difficulties they've had to overcome. How much they have done, how much they've had to put up with, endure, suffer and experience. Because of those difficult experiences, they have become stronger. ❤ "A strong woman stands up for herself. A stronger woman stands up for everybody else."

Today I've thought a lot about judgement and how easily we do it - either we judge others or ourselves. I try to focus on this more now and in the future. That I would choose love and grace, not judge. Yet we all make mistakes and we all have a different perspective. I want to give up my hostile thoughts. It's not going to be easy - althought I don't think I'm a very judgemental person... One of my favorite authors, Dale Carnegie, has said: "Any fool can criticize, complain, and condemn—and most fools do. But it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving." ❤

Yoga is creative. It stimulates creativity in your mind, gives inspiration and you really can get new ideas by practicing yoga. Practice shuts out overstimulation and releases space for thoughts. But I think yoga is also a creative practice itself. You can listen to your inner voice and your intuition and let it quide you. Just make asanas that feel good, connect different poses together with your breath in a creative flow. I love it. ❤ And at the end, yoga gives courage to trust yourself. You can't be very creative if you are scared to step and think outside of the box... Yoga has helped me turn down my inner critic. It was a photo I chose to post before I even knew him- it literally had nothing to do with him. He felt, that after knowing me for only a short period of time, that HE had the right to dictate what I posted about myself on my feed. He took it personal when I told him I would not delete a photo that represented my beauty, my strength and the female body. For a split second, he made me feel ashamed of my body and ashamed of a post which was supposed to highlight the beauty of being naked not just physically but mentally and emotionally. In the end, we stopped seeing each other because he was so offended by my choice not to remove that photo. If I had chosen to delete it it would have been to make this insecure "man" feel comfortable. I would have made myself smaller in order to protect his fragile masculinity. I refuse to feed the ego and pride of a misogynist man/society that will both sexualize and shame my body at the same time.
